8-10:00 - Marble Invention Registration | More about the Marble Invention Competition.

This is a competition for building marble related inventions. These inventions could be a marble toy, game, receway, gadget, machine, ect.

8-10:00 - Marble Art Registration | More about the Marble Art Competition.

This is a competition for creating artwork utilizing marbles.

10:00 - Opening Ceremony

To kick off the day at Centennial Park, Skyler Ochoa will sing the National Anthem.

11:00-11:30 - Wings of Love Bird Show

Birds skate, ride high-wire bicycle, bowl, golf, spell, raise the flag, drive vehicles, speak on queue and much more! For more information visit: www.wings-of-love.com

All Day - Marble Games

Marble games will take place in the Community Center from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and old-fashioned games will take place at Centennial Park and various businesses downtown during the same time frame. These events are open to all ages, and will allow participants to learn various games with marbles.

Noon - Running of the Pinkys

The idea is simple, a giant "marble run" will be created on a portion of Oak Street. Pinky balls will be dumped at the top and will have to roll and bounce their way through a series of obstacles to the finish. Balls will be for sale in advance at participating businesses and on location the morning of the event. The person with the first Pinky in to the winning shoot will receive a $500 savings bond. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of Pinky balls will go toward The Bonner Springs Parks and Recreation Scholarship Fund.

1:00 - Marble Shoot | More about the Marble Shoot.

Marble tournament will take place in Centennial Park. This event is for ages 7-15, and will allow participants to compete against each other in a game called ringer.

2:00 - Children's Parade

The Children's Parade is a new Marble Days event in 2008 and will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Oak Street. Children of all ages are invited to decorate their bicycles, tricycles, wagons, scooters, etc. to ride in the parade. The only regulations will be that all vehicles must have a braking system, and can not be motorized. Ribbons will be given out for the following awards: Most Creative, Best Decorated, and Noisiest. Age groups are: 5 and under, 6-8, and 9 and above. The parade staging area will be Oak Street from Nettleton to Third Street.
